To be clear, no one is surprised that Mack Hollins did something a bit outside of the lines.
It's just what the wide receiver does, from AFC East stops in Miami and Buffalo to his latest locale, the New England Patriots.
It's still notable, though. Because you haven't seen an NFL player wear a shirt like this to practice before.
Hollins' top almost looked like it had been cut into a bunch of pieces. The whole abdomen area was frilly, rather than one connected shirt.
Why?
The shirt dries quicker and helps him keep his receiver gloves dry.

And yes, as usual, Mack is barefoot in that media scrum. That's another one of those things he does.
It works because he's an effective, high-energy receiver and sometimes-special teams player.
The 31-year old signed with New England this offseason after one campaign in Buffalo.

With the Bills, Hollins caught a career-high five touchdowns to go with 31 receptions for 378 yards.
This is slated to be his eighth NFL season, also including stops in Philadelphia, Vegas and Atlanta in addition to the Dolphins and Bills.
Hollins should slot in as a middle-of-the-depth-chart receiver for the Pats and Drake Maye. As long as he catches touchdowns, New England won't much care what sort of antics Hollins wants to break out, because they've gotten him this far.
