ESPN's Adam Schefter called this a "wild card" possibility, so it's not a prediction by any means.

But when the top insider speaks, the NFL world listens. And Schefter thinks the Miami Dolphins might be up to something.

What exactly? Schefter said the Dolphins might look to draft Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the first round of this month's NFL Draft.

At first glance, it's an odd move. The Dolphins have a lot of needs, and Tua Tagovailoa is on the roster.

But the injury concerns around Tagovailoa are very real. It's not a given he has a long career left.

It would actually be a great situation for Sanders. He could learn from Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel before eventually getting a chance to take over.

The Dolphins have the No. 13 pick, and there's at least some suggestion recently that Sanders could slide. If he does, don't look too quickly past lucky number 13.
