The Miami Dolphins are heading into a season filled with uncertainty about what the team can achieve. They decided to include tight end Jonnu Smith in the trade that brought Jalen Ramsey to the team. Meanwhile, Tyreek Hill is expected to prove to his teammates that he is still the go-to player and that he has moved past his controversial comments from last season.

“Every day I’m trying to prove myself as one of those guys this team can depend on in crucial moments. . . . It was tough. Emotions were high then. At the end of the day, I’m just looking to move forward from that. Hoping that I can prove myself and prove to my teammates that I’m still one of those ones,” Hill said.

However, on Wednesday, Tua Tagovailoa revealed just how fractured the locker room remains after Hill’s comments last season.

“It's not just with me, it's with a lot of the guys. I'm not the only one that heard that. You guys aren't the only people that heard that," Tagovailoa said. "A lot of people that follow football, that follow the Miami Dolphins, that follow Tyreek that are fans of his — everyone has seen that. So, when you say something like that, you don't just come back from that with, 'Hey, my bad.' You got to work that relationship up; you've got to build everything back up again.”

Following these remarks, Hill’s future with the Dolphins remains uncertain. Daniel Arwas of Heavy.com has proposed a trade package that would send Hill to the LA Rams.

“Even with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, the team is only one injury away from having a below-average receiving corps, such is the lack of depth behind the two, with the lukewarm Tutu Atwell the only other proven starter at the position group,” Arwas wrote. “Hill provides a unique service; incredible deep speed. And his deep-threat skillset does not clash with the all-around work of Nacua, or the route-running finesse of the possession receiver,z Adams.”

For Hill, being surrounded by more veteran players could open up the field for him. It could also help him avoid the frustration he experienced last season. Most importantly, it would offer the veteran a fresh start.
