The Miami Dolphins are expected to offload parts of their roster at some point to create cap space heading into next season, which is shaping up to be a tough one. Jalen Ramsey is the first name expected to be moved, but after him, the situation remains uncertain. However, someone with a big contract is likely to go as well.
Head coach Mike McDaniel hasn’t been happy about the Jalen Ramsey trade. He’s been getting questions about it but clearly doesn’t want to be bothered with the situation. Ramsey is likely gone—everyone knows that—so McDaniel just wants to focus on his team.
“Quite honestly, zero has changed since the last time I said anything about him," McDaniel told reporters Wednesday, per Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "I'm very much interested in the players that I'm coaching on the field today.”
When asked about Ramsey again, McDaniel became a bit more heated.
“Personally — I don’t give a s--- about what I feel,” McDaniel said. “I don’t even really go down that road of how I feel about it. My job is to react and control my controllables and make sure that people are moving in one direction appropriately. Business is business.”
McDaniel seems to be on the hot seat this season, which many predict could be his last in Miami. If the team can’t stay healthy, he might be out as head coach and forced to look for a job elsewhere.

“The instability of the quarterback position, and some other drama with the Miami Dolphins," Ray G Que said on Bleacher Report. "has Mike McDaniel's future very much up in the air with the Dolphins going into 2025.”
McDaniel just wants to have a good year, but if QB Tua Tagovailoa gets hurt again, it will be difficult. Combine that with numerous roster moves, and it could be a sour year waiting to happen.
