The Miami Dolphins are coming off a season in which they missed the NFL Playoffs. This offseason, Tyreek Hill isn't making things easy for the Dolphins, and Jalen Ramsey is widely expected to be traded before the season begins.
One possible landing spot for Ramsey is the Cincinnati Bengals, who are looking to bolster their cornerback room.
“The Bengals should also kick the tires on a Ramsey deal. Cincinnati is looking to get back in the playoff mix with an improved defense but has done virtually nothing to improve its cornerback room,” Kristopher Knox wrote.
Miami didn’t catch a favorable break with their 2025 schedule. While they didn’t get the worst draw in the league, it was the toughest in the AFC East. The New England Patriots have the third-easiest schedule in the NFL. The Jets and Bills fall in between. Miami’s strength of schedule is tied for No. 21, which is an easier schedule then over half of the league.
Adding fuel to the fire, Dolphins fans were recently on the receiving end of a jab from Packers running back Josh Jacobs, who made it clear he planned on winning this season—and that it wouldn’t be with the Dolphins.
Miami is close to being a contender, but a challenging divisional landscape and schedule imbalance don’t help their case.

“The Dolphins will get the Los Angeles Chargers at home and get the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals at home as well. Their road games are not horrible with the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons on the schedule. Miami gets a good home game schedule, but will travel to Spain to play one of their home games. Overall, the Dolphins ranked 21st in strength of schedule. Their opposing team's win percentage is .474,” Brian Miller wrote.
The Dolphins are focused on winning, but their path to the playoffs likely hinges on success within the division. To stay competitive, they must capitalize on home-field advantage and steal some key victories on the road.
