If you're a hardcore Miami Dolphins fan, you may have had a deja vu all over again moment on Saturday.

In the fifth round, the Dolphins drafted a defensive tackle named Jordan Phillips out of Maryland.

Back in 2015's second round, the Dolphins drafted a defensive tackle out of Oklahoma named Jordan Phillips.

Whew, that's trippy.

This Phillips is slightly less of a high-ranking draft prospect than that one.

The first Jordan Phillips is still in the NFL. He spent four years with the Dolphins, then went to the Bills, the Cardinals, the Bills again, the Cowboys and finally back to the Bills in 2024.

The first Jordan Phillips has 24.0 career NFL sacks.

The new Jordan Phillips is 6-foot-2 and 312 pounds. He power squats 665 pounds and was on the Freaks List put together by The Athletic's Bruce Feldman.

Miami will be hoping that Phillips can at least last his entire rookie contract in town after they got rid of the first Phillips before his deal was up.

The first Phillips' best years came, ironically, for AFC East rival Buffalo.

The Dolphins will want the new Phillips' best years to come for them.

But what are the odds of this? The NFL Draft never disappoints.
