Before the full schedule for the 2025 NFL season becomes official, the Los Angeles Chargers already know one thing: They will travel further than any other team in the league.
The Chargers know who they will play this year and they know where they will play them. The biggest question that gets answered with the release of the schedule is when.
Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports broke down the amount of travel miles each team faces this coming season and for the second year in a row, the Chargers will travel the furthest, logging a total of 37,086 miles while crossing over 42 different time zones this season. The Los Angeles Rams are in second place with more than 2,000 miles less than the Chargers.
The Chargers are coming off of an 11-6 season where they were 6-3 on the road. Jim Harbaugh will have his team ready to go each week so while having to make trips like this could be challenging for many coaches, especially young ones, Harbaugh is built for this kind of thing.
The Chargers will open their season in Brazil on a Friday night, the second year in a row the league has put a Week 1 game in Sao Paulo. It remains to be seen where the Chargers will play in Week 2, but the distance from L.A. to Sao Paulo is over 6,100 miles.
Here is a look at the teams the Chargers will face this season. The full schedule will be revealed on Wednesday evening.
