The Las Vegas Raiders will host the San Francisco 49ers in a preseason Week 2 game at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. PT.
The Raiders and 49ers took part in a joint practice Thursday ahead of their second exhibition contest this weekend. The session saw a standout showing from rookie running back Ashton Jeanty, who struggled mightily in preseason Week 1.
Jeanty carried the ball three times for -1 yards in the tie with the Seattle Seahawks, but that was hardly his fault, as the offensive line completely failed him and gave Jeanty no room to operate.
Will Jeanty get a chance to bounce back in preseason Week 2? Here's what we know.
Is Ashton Jeanty playing today?
When asked if the Raiders will be playing their starters in the preseason game versus the 49ers, head coach Pete Carroll had a similar response to his answer for the first preseason game, so it looks like Jeanty will indeed see some snaps.
"Everybody's live," Carroll told reporters.

How much will Ashton Jeanty play?
Jeanty played 10 snaps in the preseason Week 1 game against the Seahawks, so we should expect a similar amount this week.
Look for Jeanty to get at least two series.
What to watch for with Ashton Jeanty
The first thing we want to see is the offensive line actually open up some running room for Jeanty, something the unit failed to do in preseason Week 1. And then, of course, we want to see what Jeanty does with some running lanes.
From there, seeing Jeanty getting a few reps as a pass-catcher and pass protector on passing downs would be great to see. Those two areas of his game were the biggest question marks surrounding Jeanty coming out of college, but by all accounts he has been impressive in practice this offseason.
“What’s been a little surprising to coaches is how quickly (Jeanty has) adjusted in the passing game," Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer wrote. "Pass pro can prevent young players at that position from getting on the field early in their careers. And it’s something that Ashton Jeanty, as a college player, like a lot of great backs, didn’t do a ton of in college, but he’s taken to it right away.”
There's a chance the Raiders will not play their starters in preseason Week 3, so this might be the last time we see Jeanty in live-game action before the start of the regular season.
