Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce didn't first hear about one of his team's most exciting draft selections from the front office or a teammate. He learned it from Taylor Swift.

During an appearance on the "New Heights" podcast with Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, on Wednesday, Swift revealed how she broke the news to him about the Chiefs selecting wide receiver Xavier Worthy in 2024. The pop star described how becoming an NFL fan had completely hooked her after dating Kelce.

"I fell in love with it. I became obsessed with it," Swift said. "I became like a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, 'We drafted Xavier Worthy!' And my friends are like, 'Who body snatched you? What do you mean we drafted Xavier Worthy?'"

Kelce recalled that the draft news actually came from her before he even heard it elsewhere. "I forget where I was, but you were the first person to tell me that we drafted the fastest man in the draft," he said.

Swift was ecstatic when she found out. "No, I was screeching. I couldn't believe it. Freaking out," she added.

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Worthy with the 28th pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft, weeks after he stole the spotlight at the NFL Combine with a record‑breaking 4.21‑second 40‑yard dash.

In his rookie season, Worthy caught 59 passes for 638 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games.
