Why Tyson Campbell believes Travis Hunter is unlike any other image

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Tyson Campbell has been closely watching rookie WR/CB Travis Hunter during training camp as they prepare to employ the unique two-way NFL role that Hunter will play. Hunter splits his practice time between offense, where he is a starting wide receiver, and defense, where he serves as a backup cornerback.

Campbell has taken note of a play by Hunter, which ESPN's Michael DiRocco discussed in detail on Tuesday.

During a recent red zone drill, Hunter connected with quarterback Trevor Lawrence for a touchdown. In the play, Hunter leapt and stretched over tight coverage from CB Jourdan Lewis, securing the catch in the end zone with both feet firmly in bounds. Lewis provided strong coverage, but it was not enough to stop Hunter.

"Just how quick he is and how shifty he is," Campbell said. "He gets to his spot and Trevor is able to put it anywhere, and he's athletic enough to reach out and go get it. His ball skills are definitely something that catches your eye."

Head coach Liam Coen also praised Hunter's performance after the scrimmage. "I mean, you guys saw it, he said. "Pretty cool in space, isn't he?"

All eyes are on Travis Hunter as he prepares to play on both sides of the ball. So far, reports from training camp have been positive, and the possibility of him fulfilling this role remains strong.

Playing offense and defense demands exceptional commitment, but Hunter's performance at camp shows he's more than capable of handling it.
