The Houston Texans won their second consecutive AFC South title and won a playoff game for the second year in a row, as well. Yet somehow, 2024 felt like a disappointing year for Houston. This was due to the fact that they had traded for Stefon Diggs in the offseason and were a team that was expected to make the leap to becoming Super Bowl contenders.

One of the biggest reason why the Texans stayed stagnant was because their offensive line took a big step back, leading to C.J. Stroud being one of the most-sacked quarterbacks in football. This made it all the more odd when the Texans traded star left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Washington Commanders and brought in Cam Robinson from the Minnesota Vikings. Due to the potential of this not working out, Bleacher Report labeled Robinson as the Texans' biggest bust candidate in 2025.

"The Houston Texans made the curious decision to trade away a quality starter in left tackle Laremy Tunsil as part of their offseason overhaul," Knox writes. "While incoming tackle Cam Robinson had nothing to do with that decision, he may end up getting the bust label for being Tunsil's replacement. Robinson has always been a serviceable starter when healthy but never a star. He appeared in 17 games last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings and was responsible for 13 penalties and seven sacks allowed, according to Pro Football Focus. With a one-year, $12 million contract, Robinson's price point is reasonable. However, he isn't likely to make fans forget about Tunsil—and that's assuming he manages to hold off rookie second-round pick Aireontae Ersery."

If Robinson pans out and proves to be a valuable protector of C.J. Stroud, then the Texans' ceiling goes up. If the offensive line struggles again, though, their ceiling remains that of a team that will exit in the divisional round of the playoffs.
