Detroit Lions players are sending their prayers to defensive back Morice Norris after he suffered a scary injury during the preseason Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Norris' injury happened early in the fourth quarter when he attempted to make a tackle on a Falcons player. During the play, Norris' head snapped back violently and he did not get up after it.

The former undrafted free agent was ultimately loaded onto a stretcher and taken off the field in an ambulance.

The Lions' broadcast did note that he was blinking his eyes while being loaded onto the ambulance, but that's about the only update we have at this time.

Following the scary situation, Lions players took to X to share their prayers for Norris.

"Pray for my twin man," Rakestraw wrote.

"Man say a prayer for my brother man," Terrion Arnold said.

Lions and Falcons players decided to run out the remainder of the clock, but the league office decided to suspend the contest before it hit zero, which was most certainly the right move. Nobody should have to play a game after that.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Norris and his family and we hope he's OK.
