The news coming out on Morice Norris Jr. continues to be encouraging.
It's only been a few days since the Detroit Lions' defensive back sustained a scary head injury during the preseason against the Atlanta Falcons.
But on Monday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell shared with reporters that Norris is in concussion protocol, and that they'll "take it easy" on him for the next couple weeks.
The fact that Norris has a timeline for when the Lions may start ramping things up with him suggests the injury wasn't quite as bad as it visually appeared.

There had already been positive news about Norris on Sunday, too.
The Associated Press had reported that Norris was back in the Lions' facility.
Here's how Larry Lange of the AP reported that:
"Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris was at the team’s training facility with teammates on Sunday, two days after he was taken off the field in an ambulance late in a preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to a person familiar with the situation. The person, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to share the details, said Norris was released from an Atlanta hospital and returned home on Saturday."

On Saturday, Norris shared an Instagram post in which he wrote, "I'm all good man don't stress."
He was down on the field in Atlanta for about 20 minutes after his head and neck area made contact with a ball carrier's knee on a tackle attempt.
He was then taken to a hospital in Atlanta, where he was reported in stable condition.
The Lions and Falcons did not complete their preseason game after the injury.
The recovery for Norris has gone as well as anyone could've hoped, and hopefully it continues that way moving forward.
