The Denver Broncos know when they will face each opponent in the 2025 season now that the full schedule has been released. One of the first things many fans likely did was to check and see when they faced the Kansas City Chiefs this year.
The Broncos won't play the Chiefs until Week 11, a game on November 16th that will take place at Empower Field. A little over one month later, the teams will square off on Christmas night at Arrowhead Stadium.
Those two games are going to be difficult as the Chiefs are never an easy opponent. The Broncos had them beat at Arrowhead Stadium last season, but a shocking blocked field goal on the last play of the game destroyed that from happening.
With all of that in mind, Broncos Country is going to love a recent prediction that was made. The best part of this prediction is that it was made by a reporter who covers the Chiefs.
Adam Teicher of ESPN predicts the Broncos will win not just one, but both of the games against the Chiefs this season.
"The Broncos will sweep the two-game season series from the Chiefs for the first time since 2014. Denver has been all the Chiefs could handle in the four games between the teams since Sean Payton was hired as Broncos coach. The Chiefs managed a two-game split by blocking a field-goal attempt on the last play of their Week 10 game in Kansas City. Denver broke a 16-game losing streak to the Chiefs in 2023 and routed the Chiefs 38-0 in Week 18 last season, albeit against an opponent that rested Patrick Mahomes , Travis Kelce , Chris Jones and other starters for the playoffs", wrote Teicher.
As noted, it has been a decade since the Broncos swept the Chiefs in a season series, going back to when Peyton Manning was the quarterback. Could they really do it this season? If this prediction were to come true, it's hard to imagine the Broncos not being AFC West champs as a result .
Though this is a very bold prediction, it shows that the Broncos are beginning to get respect on a national level.
