The Dallas Cowboys are keeping their defensive line options open.
Micah Parsons has yet to sign his presumed record-setting contract extension, and so in the meantime, the Cowboys have added some depth.
They agreed to a deal with James Houston on Tuesday after he worked out for Dallas earlier in the week.
Houston was a sixth-round pick by the Lions in 2022.
In seven games as a rookie, Houston had a remarkable eight sacks.
In 13 games since, though, he has only one sack.

Last season, Houston played eight games with Detroit before landing with Cleveland to play three games with the Browns.
The Cowboys cut defensive end Luiji Vilain to make room for Houston.
It's probably not a move that will make a massive difference in the long run, but it's a sign that Dallas just wants to be sure it has enough pass rushers when the season arrives.
