The Dallas Cowboys have a new backup quarterback this season.

His name is Joe Milton, and he's got a rocket launcher attached to the right side of his body.

Milton launched a ball that went a reported 75 yards in the air at Wednesday's training camp practice. And it was on the money, touchdown.

The view isn't perfect to nail the air yards down perfectly, but the number does seem relatively accurate based on the yard lines the football travels beyond just in the second half of its flight.

Even if it's 67 air yards instead of 75, or something like that, it's still notable.

Milton's arm strength has never been in question. He always had that in his bag at Tennessee before entering the NFL Draft.

He was then a sixth-round pick by the New England Patriots in 2024, the same draft they took Drake Maye in the first round.

So Milton was just a backup in year one, besides playing well in a Week 18 outing that Maye started but sat for the majority of. Milton actually cost the Pats the No. 1 pick by playing well enough to beat the Bills.

The Cowboys traded for Milton this offseason after losing incumbent backup Cooper Rush to the Ravens, and Milton has certainly gotten Dallas fans excited with throws like this one.

His real value will come if Prescott is ever hurt. That'd be when everyone would find out how good Milton is for real.

But he certainly has some high-class arm strength.
