The Cleveland Browns have officially signed rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders to his rookie contract.
According to Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, Sanders signed a four-year deal worth $4.6 million. Tom Pelissero adds that Sanders will get a $447,380 signing bonus.
Sanders, as well as Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel will compete for three roster spots throughout the remainder of the offseason. Sanders was taken in the fifth round after Cleveland took Gabriel in the third round. The Browns traded for Pickett in March and signed Flacco later on in the offseason.
The Browns will begin their regular season against the Cincinnati Bengals. The last time these two teams played in Week 1, the Browns won 24-3.
