The Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles are holding joint practices ahead of their Week 2 preseason contest against one another. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders suffered an oblique injury on Wednesday, which owned headlines from that first practice. However, a Browns receiver is also making waves.
According to reports, Diontae Johnson was giving the Eagles' defense fits on Wednesday.
"He's been really good in practice," Lance Reisland said on Cleveland.com. "But going against those good Eagles corners, he was really good today."
Johnson is looking to get back to the Pro Bowl level he was at while with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was traded to the Carolina Panthers in March of 2024. Ahead of the trade deadline last season, the Panthers dealt him to the Baltimore Ravens, who cut him shortly after following internal issues. He briefly joined the Houston Texans before being let go. Now in Cleveland, he is hoping to get his career back on track.
