The Buffalo Bills' standoff with running back James Cook continues into voluntary workouts. The star running back did not report to Buffalo for the start of the Bills' offseason program as he continues to push for a new contract. He is entering the final year of his rookie deal.

Cook has hinted on multiple occasions that he wants $15 million per year, which would put him in the top three in annual average value behind only Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey.

Cook is coming off a year in which he rushed for a league-leading 16 touchdowns en route to his second Pro Bowl appearance. He has proven to be a vital part of Buffalo's offense, but the pushback form fans may be that the Bills could find success in the run game with other backs behind their tremendous offensive line. That said, Cook has proven himself to be a high-tier running back, and he wouldn't be as easy to replace as many would think.
