The Buffalo Bills are once again one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2025. With reigning MVP Josh Allen leading a revamped roster full of young talent, the Bills are hoping this will be the year they win the Super Bowl.
And while training camp is still a month away, it's prediction season, so let's get bold with 17 predictions for the Bills' season.
Josh Allen will top 50 total touchdowns
Yeah, let's get bold right away. Allen has an NFL record five straight seasons with 40+ total touchdowns, but 2025 will feature perhaps his best all-around season. 37 touchdown passes and 13 rushing touchdowns is certainly in the realm of possibility for the reigning MVP.
The Bills will go 5-1 in AFC East play
They'll take part in their annual sweeps of the Dolphins and Jets, but the Patriots and Drake Maye will best the Bills in one contest.
Elijah Moore will lead Bills in touchdown receptions
Moore is one of the most underrated singings of the entire NFL offseason. He had 61 catches in 2024, which would have ranked second amongst Bills wideouts last season. He is their most skilled boundary wideout, and he will lead the team in touchdown grabs.
Josh Palmer will have the longest touchdown of the year for the Bills
A 74 yard go-ball from Allen to Palmer will send Highmark into a frenzy.
Brandon Codrington will be an All-Pro returner
A kickoff return touchdown and punt return touchdown will give Codrington All-Pro honors.
Khalil Shakir will top 1,000 yards
In a fully-healthy season, the rising star will continue to set new career-bests, including his first 1,000 yard season.
Teams will call Bills about Ray Davis and Ty Johnson
The two running backs have carved out respective roles for themselves in Buffalo's offense. Teams will call ahead of the trade deadline, but both will stay put.
Dalton Kincaid trade rumors will begin
Kincaid didn't take the leap in Year Two that many were hoping he would, and he dropped a pass that would have extended a potential game-winning drive on fourth down. If he starts the season off slow, his name will float around the rumor mill.
Tre'Davious White will have a game-clinching interception
If it happened Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, that would be lovely.
Christian Benford will be named All-Pro
Benford had a case for All-Pro honors in 2024, and this year he'll get that first All-Pro selection.
Deone Walker will be a meme
There will be a photo of the 6-foot-7 defensive tackle standing next to a 5-foot-9 nickel cornerback that becomes the new Derrick Henry-Dion Lewis meme.
Joey Bosa will miss at least four games, and it will enrage people
The Bills will play it safe with Bosa. If he has something that is even remotely cause for concern, "hey, sit out this week, we've got depth." He'll avoid major injury but there will be a game in October in which he becomes a late scratch that will draw a collective audible grown from Bills Mafia.
Gabe Davis will return in a depth role
Similar to Micah Hyde coming back in 2024, Davis will start off on the practice squad but would certainly find his way onto the 53-man roster for his blocking ability and occasional big-game prowess.
Landon Jackson will get Defensive Rookie of the Year votes
Jackson will be the edge rusher that breaks out for Buffalo. I'll say 5.5 sacks and eight tackles for loss for the rookie out of Arkansas.
Joe Brady will earn head coaching job
The Bills' offense will be one of the best in the NFL again, and Brady will have multiple suitors for the second straight offseason. Where will he go? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be my guess. Even if the Bucs make the playoffs as a 9-8, 10-7 team, are they really going to keep banging their head against that wall with Todd Bowles? Hiring Brady and raising their ceiling makes more sense.
James Cook will earn big extension
It won't be during the season, but after Cook compiles another great year for the Bills, both sides will come to an agreement on an extension in the $14-15 million per year range.
The Bills will finally get the job done
I've picked the Bills the last two seasons to win the Super Bowl, and maybe I will until they finally do. Each year feels like an "If not now, when?" year. They changed their team-building strategy this offseason, focusing heavily on the defensive side of the ball. If they can get to Patrick Mahomes when they inevitably face each other again in the playoffs, then that will be the key ingredient to getting over the hump. If they get to the Super Bowl, I think they're better than everyone in the NFC and will bring a parade to western New York.
