The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Indianapolis Colts in their preseason opener on Thursday. And while the scores of these games aren't important, Baltimore finished with a win because of several explosive plays on special teams - none more explosive than the 87-yard punt return for a touchdown by rookie wide receiver LaJohntay Wester.
Not only did the sixth-round pick out of Colorado have the play of the game, he predicted it was going to happen.
"I had a great joint practice with them a couple days ago, and I came close to breaking one in practice," Wester told Jamison Hensley of ESPN. "After that, I had called my dad and was just like, 'I feel one coming.'"
Wester all but certainly earned himself a roster spot- whether it be in Baltimore or somewhere else - with his big splash play. Considering that Baltimore drafted him, and he is already making plays, it feels safe to expect him on the roster come Week 1.
