Kyle Pitts has become the subject of trade speculation following a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz, who noted teams around the league have been inquiring about the tight end’s availability.
Pitts, 24, is heading into the final year of his rookie contract after the Falcons exercised his fifth-year option. While he hasn’t requested a trade, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the Falcons could be open to the right offer.
“It’s not a situation where they’re aggressively shopping him,” Fowler said on SportsCenter, “but… Pitts might be [open to it] as well.” Though he still loves Atlanta, a more prominent role elsewhere could be enticing.
One hypothetical deal floated by Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox sends Pitts to the Titans in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick, a 2026 seventh-round pick, and quarterback Will Levis.
Levis, the 2023 second-rounder, finds himself in a tough spot after Tennessee used the No. 1 overall pick in April to draft Cam Ward. Levis recently told reporters that the situation “sucks,” as his future with the franchise remains uncertain. Atlanta acquiring him would be a bit of a surprise, considering it would mean putting yet another unhappy quarterback behind Michael Penix Jr. Still, Levis would represent a legitimate backup option should the Falcons find a trade partner for Kirk Cousins.
From Tennessee’s perspective, Pitts could help jumpstart an offense built around its new franchise quarterback. The Titans have an underappreciated tight end in Chigoziem Okonkwo, but questions remain about their receiving corps beyond Calvin Ridley. Pitts would give Ward a much-needed playmaker in Brian Callahan’s system.
While just a hypothetical proposal, the deal could make sense for both sides. The Falcons offload an underutilized weapon, add a Day 2 pick, and potentially secure a bridge option under center. The Titans give Ward a dynamic piece to grow with — and Pitts gets a shot at being a featured target again.
