UNC announces employment status of Bill Belichick's girlfriend Jordon Hudson image

North Carolina Tar Heels football coach Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson made headlines again on Friday. A report came that Hudson had been banned from North Carolina facilities, although another report quickly surfaced saying that wasn't the case.

Hudson has raised plenty of eyebrows recently, including for a viral CBS interview where she walked out of the room in some frustration about the questions being asked.

Amid the conflicting reports about her being banned, North Carolina has answered a question everybody was wondering: Is Hudson an employee at UNC?

Here is the statement, per Chris Vannini of The Athletic: "While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities. Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”

The initial report of the ban came from Pablo Torre, a former ESPN employee, who stated that, “There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation — everything he has built and worked for over decades."

Hudson has been seen quite often around the North Carolina program, and she was even included in email chains after Belichick was hired as the coach in December.

But her role is exactly as the statement says: She is managing all activities related to Belichick's personal brand, meaning she is not an employee at North Carolina, although this is certainly a topsy-turvy dilemma.
