Everybody knows Arch Manning's name.

That comes with it plenty of doubters as Manning takes the controls as the Texas starting quarterback.

But there is one way for the Longhorns' QB to silence the haters.

Simply put, by ESPN's Bill Connelly, Manning can become the best quarterback in the country.

"If Manning is indeed the best player in the country in 2025, then the puzzle pieces all start to fit together for Steve Sarkisian's Longhorns," Connelly writes. "But what if he's merely a very good but inconsistent first-year starter?"

Manning made a couple of starts when Quinn Ewers was out last season and flashed a ton of his immense potential, but he wasn't perfectly consistent.

The hope will be that in the full-time role, Manning has a chance to settle in and bring that steadiness that all great QBs have.

Manning can still make big plays, of course, but Texas has so much talent around him that he can also do the simple thing most of the time and win a lot of football games.

It's Arch Manning time in Austin, and college football waits to see if he's ready.
