The Texas A&M Aggies football team has a strong starting quarterback, Marcel Reed.

But if they ever need to go to the bench, they've got quite the experienced option.

Jacob Zeno is new at A&M this year, for what will be his seventh season of college football. That earned him a spot on The Athletic's All-Geezer Team.

Zeno began his college career as a freshman at Baylor in 2019. He came on in relief in the Big 12 title game, against Oklahoma's Jalen Hurts, and threw both an 81-yard TD and a 78-yard completion.

After that, it was two more seasons as a Baylor backup.

Zeno left for UAB and threw for 3,126 yards in 2023. Last season, he made it into only four games.

Now, he's Reed's backup at Texas A&M.

Zeno is one of a number of super-super seniors around college football, the product in part of extra eligibility provided by COVID-19.

In a couple years, there will no longer be quite as long of tenures, because everyone will have enrolled in college after the pandemic.

But for now, Zeno gets to keep suiting up, and if injuries don't go the Aggies' way, he might even have to play a key role in the SEC and CFP races.
