Charles Woodson took Michigan football to incredible heights in the late 1990s. During his career at Michigan, Woodson won the Heisman Trophy and led the Wolverines to a win in the 1997 Rose Bowl, which included a share of the National Championship with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Almost 30 years later, his son Charles Woodson Jr, a four-star safety in the 2027 class, has received an invite to compete in the 2026 Navy All-American Bowl.

The Navy All-American Bowl, which has been around since 2000, has been known for featuring underrated, talented recruits from across the country. The event features one week of practices that finishes with an actual game.

Over the years, recruits have seen their stock rise as a result of their performance in the practices and the Navy All-American Bowl game. Woodson Jr has the opportunity to raise his stock with a strong performance in the competition.

As of recently, Woodson Jr’s recruiting stock has been rising as Michigan offered him a spot in their 2027 recruiting class. The safety out of Lake Nona High School in Orlando, Florida, has also received offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Florida State, Iowa State, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Syracuse, and Texas A&M.

Despite his short height at 5-foot-11 and weighing just 155 pounds, during his high school career at Lake Nona, Woodson Jr has been known for the same toughness that his father played with at Michigan and in the NFL. Woodson Jr is set to enter his junior season at Lake Nona High School.
