Chop Robinson spent two years at Penn State in his sophomore and junior seasons in college.
After the dominant years in school, tallying 11.5 sacks with both Maryland and Penn State, Robinson declared for the 2024 NFL Draft and was selected with the No. 21 pick by the Miami Dolphins.
Robinson had a productive rookie season in 2024, playing in all 17 games for the Dolphins, recording 26 tackles, six sacks, and four passes defended. Heading into his second year, more development and maturity at just 22 years old has been the goal for him and Miami as they look to improve from a disappointing 8-9 record last year.
However, things have taken a turn for Chop Robinson after suffering an injury at joint practice on Wednesday with the Detroit Lions. The Dolphins' EDGE rusher was carted off the field with an apparent injury, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov.

The injury sustained by the second-year pro is undisclosed, with more information to be released later. If it happens to be a serious, long-term problem, it would be a huge blow for the Miami Dolphins with the regular season starting in less than a month.
Robinson was in line to be the starting left defensive end for the Miami Dolphins on their new and improved defensive line that includes 2025 No. 13 pick Kenneth Grant, Jaelan Phillips, and Bradley Chubb.
With the injury, the next man up for the Dolphins would be 2024 fifth-round pick from Colorado State, Mohamed Kamara.
