The Ohio State football program picked up a solid win on Thursday afternoon.
Four-star linebacker Cincere Johnson is staying in his home state to play for the Buckeyes.
Johnson is a star for Glenville, a high school in the city of Cleveland.
His final three included OSU, PSU and Alabama. Johnson announced his decision on Thursday during a ceremony at his school.
Johnson's high school coach is Ted Ginn Sr., the father of Buckeyes legend Ted Ginn Jr., who was also a Glenville product.
The Tarblooders of Glenville won state championships in both 2022 and 2023 before falling in the state semifinals in 2024. Johnson will try to get back on top of the state of Ohio before enrolling at Ohio State.
Johnson is listed as 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds. He's the No. 71 player in the 2026 class according to 247Sports.
Ohio State is now ranked No. 2 in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings.
And even better, they made sure a Big Ten rival didn't get Johnson's potential star talent.
