Michigan kicker Dominic Zvada was a First Team All-American last season as one of the most consistent players in the country, and he might be getting even better.

Zvada has shown pinpoint accuracy in his career, including hitting 95.5% of field goal attempts and 96.2% of extra points last year. However, the one thing he has yet to showcase is elite power.

His career long is 56 yards, which is a respectable number, but not elite. He was one of 23 kickers last season to make a kick that long.

That power might just be there now.

Zvada took to Instagram today to share a clip on his story of himself nailing a 60-yard kick at Michigan's indoor practice facility. Here is the clip, courtesy of @SwankyWolverine on X:

It is obviously yet to be seen if he can translate this into an actual in-game situation, but if he can, he would join elite company.

Last year, only five kickers made field goals of 60+ yards. That sort of feat could very well establish him as the best kicker in the country.

None of those five aforementioned kickers came close to Zvada's accuracy, with only one making at least 80% of his kicks (Virginia Tech's John Love made 88.9%).

This would establish Zvada as the full package as a kicker. He was arguably snubbed from the Lou Groza Award last season, not even make it as one of the three finalists despite being a First Team All-American.

Zvada has a chance this season to build on his accolades, possibly even following in the footsteps of former Wolverines kicker Jake Moody, who won the award and became a third-round draft pick for the San Francisco 49ers - the second kicker to be selected within the top 100 picks in the last 15 drafts.
