It’s a massive year coming up for Penn State, with national championship expectations, not hopes. The Nittany Lions are one of the best teams in the nation for a reason, and with all the talent they retained, there's simply no excuse for James Franklin's squad not to get the job done.

Some players will be much more important than others, and that includes Dani Dennis-Sutton, an edge out of Millsboro, Delaware.

He impressed a year ago with 8.5 sacks, but was lined up with Abdul Carter. After Carter went in the first round to the New York Giants in the 2025 NFL draft, Dennis-Sutton will have a much more difficult time creating pressure on the quarterback.

Even if it's from the standpoint that he won't have his running mate with him, or he'll be facing more double teams, there's plenty that he has to consider.

But, just as most Penn State defenders typically do, he should figure things out, and Sharp Football Analysis believes that will be the case, predicting him to be drafted in the first round to eventually line up with Aidan Hutchinson of the Detroit Lions.

“Dennis-Sutton will have more pressure on him without Abdul Carter lining up on the other side, but if he can replicate last year's production as the focal point of Penn State's pass rush unit, he should earn himself a spot in next year's first round,” they wrote.

If there's been one area the Nittany Lions have always figured out over the years, it's been on the defensive side of the football.

If Hutchinson returns to form after his gruesome leg injury, there are reasons to believe this could be one of the better duos in the NFL.
