Transitioning to the NFL is never an easy test, but former Oregon standout Dillon Gabriel is in a great position to do so.

Not only was he a star at Oregon, but the Ducks also played in some of the best competitions in the world, such as the Big Ten and non-conference games. Gabriel was also impressed during parts of the College Football Playoff, which eventually led to him being drafted in the third round by the Cleveland Browns.

Unfortunately, the youngster has dealt with some injuries throughout training camp, but looks to be a bit healthier.

Gabriel had some promising thoughts when speaking to reporters, including Yahoo Sports. He noted that he's feeling much better than he did during day one and is happy to get on the field.

"I will say I do feel better from day one, and it's just been a good progression," Gabriel said. "So, you just want to keep stacking it that way and keep feeling better. So, want to continue that trend."

Regarding the many question marks about the Browns quarterback situation, the Oregon star noted that he isn't worried about that right now, and he's just trying to stay in the moment. It's obvious that with Shedeur Sanders and others, Gabriel might have a tough time starting, but Week 2 in the preseason will be an excellent opportunity for him to prove that he deserves a spot.

"I have no clue what's going to happen," Gabriel said. "I'm just right where my feet are. But time will tell, and we'll see what happens, but that's up to the coaches, and, you know, we got a lot of time up to that point."
