The Colorado Buffaloes offense will look much different in 2025 with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter among a flurry of players who left for the NFL.
The absence of Sanders at quarterback and Hunter at both wide receiver and cornerback will be a tough one to adjust to for the fans and the team.
But, as Deion Sanders spoke on Wednesday at Big 12 Media Days, he seemed excited about the state of the Colorado wide receiver room, per Jake Schwanitz of DNVR.
“They are unbelievable. I can’t wait to unleash them. You gotta understand they’re replacing some DAWGS. But these young men are unbelievable I can’t wait until the world gets a glimpse of these receivers. I’m proud, I’m proud of our recruiting, our coaches and what we’ve brought in to Colorado," Sanders said.
LaJohntay Wester and Jimmy Horn Jr. are other Colorado WRs who departed, making a lot of holes to fill.
Omarion Miller is one returning Buff who has a lot of buzz around him. Joseph Williams, London Merritt and Quentin Gibson are others in the Colorado WR room that Sanders seems excited about.
At the quarterback position, it is either Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter or five-star freshman Julian Lewis throwing them passes in another big change to the offense.
Nonetheless, Coach Prime appears excited for the new-look offense in Boulder, although playing without Shedeur and Hunter will take some time to get used to.
