Colorado's Travis Hunter reveals plans for Shedeur Sanders in NFL image

Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, two Colorado football legends, are in completely different situations with their respective organizations.

After being selected as the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, Hunter is expected to be a starter on both sides of the football for the Jacksonville Jaguars. For Sanders, falling to pick 144, there could be a scenario where he's a backup for the Cleveland Browns.

It isn't a guarantee that Hunter will be a superstar, either. He has to earn his stripes in training camp for the Jaguars, and the same can be said for Sanders.

Hunter spoke about what both of them will face during their first training camp of their NFL careers, adding that they have plenty to prove and need to keep their head down and work.

"We just going to work, man," Hunter said, per FOX.

"We both got our heads down, and doing what we have to do. There’s a lot of doubters out there for him, and he’s going to go to work. I’m going to go to work and just going to do what we’ve always been doing."

Hunter always seems to give excellent answers to questions, a bright young man with a big future ahead of them.

He also noted that both of them have to be leaders. They have to earn the trust of the players around them, as that's perhaps more important than anything in the NFL.

"We definitely got to be leaders, especially me," Hunter explained. "I was the number two overall pick, so I gotta come in and be a leader. Shedeur, he’s gotta go in there and work, earn his job just like me. But he’s also got to go in there and be the head of the offense, so he’s gotta go in there and be a leader."
