At the NFL Flag Championships on Saturday, rising high school sophomore and four-star prospect Brysen Wright made a ridiculous, one-handed grab reminiscent of the one the Giants wide receiver had in 2014. 

Wright is one of the best wide receiver prospects in the country with offers from SEC and Big 10 powerhouses. He is playing flag football this summer for a team representing the Jaguars.

Who is Brysen Wright?

Wright is a high school football player who is heading into his sophomore year at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Fla. This summer, he is competing at the NFL Flag Championships.

How old is Brysen Wright?

Wright just finished his freshman year of high school and is 15. He had a standout first season for his varsity team and shined at the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl.

On Saturday, Wright made a ridiculous touchdown catch in a game at the NFL Flag Championships. With defenders draped all over him, he snagged a pass with one hand and kept it underneath the ball.

Wright's catch wasn't the only game-changing play he made. He also came up with an interception later, showing he may have two-way potential in the future.

What are the NFL Flag Championships?

The NFL Flag Championships are in their second year and are taking place this weekend at the Hall of Fame Village in Canton, Ohio. More than 3,000 high school players representing all 32 NFL teams are participating in championships across boys, girls, and international divisions.

With flag football coming to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, many of these athletes could be prospects for the U.S. national team in a few years.

Where will Brysen Wright go to college?

Wright, a member of the 2028 recruiting class, has already received offers from colleges like Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida and Florida State, according to his Rivals page. It will be at least a couple of years before he makes his college decision, but based on the skillset Wright's flashing, he could be headed for one of the top programs in the country.
