Auburn's been tested to open the NCAA tournament and they've now run into another potential obstacle.

Early in the second half of Auburn's matchup with Creighton in the Round of 32, All-SEC wing Chad Baker-Mazara went down hard after drawing a shooting foul. After staying down for a moment, Baker-Mazara got up and knocked down both free throws before being subbed out.

The fifth-year senior was in evident pain, hobbled off the court, and was helped to the locker room by Auburn's training staff.

Chad Baker-Mazara injury update

Baker-Mazara's injury is a right hip bruise, according to the in-game broadcast.

After exiting to the locker room, Baker-Mazara returned to the bench and appeared to be in positive spirits as he exchanged high fives with teammates and staffers.

At the time of his injury, Baker-Mazara had a team-high 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field.

With Creighton storming back late, Maker-Mazara re-entered the game after the final media timeout of regulation. While in some discomfort, Baker-Mazara was in a good enough spot to return to the floor.
