The New York Knicks are funny.

They made a minor trade in the second round of the NBA Draft, sending the 50th pick to the Los Angeles Clippers for the 51st pick.

To make the deal match up, the Knicks also got a player from the Clippers. His name is Luka Mitrovic.

Mitrovic was the No. 60 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. He has never played an NBA minute, and likely never will.

Despite that, this is the third time his draft rights have been traded.

The 76ers chose him in 2015. They then moved him to the Kings, who then moved him to the Clippers.

It's essentially a chance for teams to balance out deals, despite knowing the reality that they'll never see a player like this.

Mitrovic is a solid overseas center, most recently for Bayern Munich.

But don't count on the Knicks ever seeing him.

Instead, New York basically swapped picks with the Clippers to have a little bit of fun. Why not?

And for Mitrovic, who very likely was asleep at the time of the deal, he now has his (sort of) fourth NBA team.
