Knicks' KAT receives unexpected support on livestream from $40 million 9x all star image

The league is filled with great relationships and brotherhood, more than we would expect. At a time like this, when seasons are coming to an end, players often receive hate more than love.

New York Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns was eliminated not too long ago by the Indiana Pacers and has surely received plenty of criticism, everywhere from on and off the court.

In a similar boat is Kyrie Irving, a nine-time All-Star and superstar point guard for the Dallas Mavericks, who suffered a brutal ACL tear in a game this season.

Irving took it upon himself recently to offer support for Karl-Anthony Towns, as he has been the subject of some memes recently for his personality.

“You all have to stop making fun of my brother KAT, stop making fun of my brother KAT. I’m letting y’all know, if you repost it again or you meme him up, I’m attacking you. Towns may connect off the court because of their similar upbringing, but both have also faced the tragedy of losing their mothers.

Oftentimes, players are on the backend of criticism, and there is not much they can do. Seeing players on different teams come together to support each other is what the league is all about.

Both players have had the privilege of playing near their home state. Towns currently plays with the New York Knicks, and Irving just a few years ago with the Brooklyn Nets.

A breath of fresh air for players receiving support from others, even the all-time greats.
