No team has made more shocking moves this offseason than the Milwaukee Bucks, and their big deals haven’t made everyone happy.

The beginning of free agency seemed somewhat quiet until the Bucks made a couple of splashes on the first morning of the period. Milwaukee shocked the NBA world by agreeing to a deal with Myles Turner after it was widely expected he would make his way back to Indiana, where he has spent the first 10 seasons of his career.

However, the next move was even more shocking, with the Bucks waiving and stretching All-Star point guard Damian Lillard. While Lillard was set to miss all of next season after tearing his Achilles, the move to send him into free agency was still bizarre to many.

In the aftermath, it appears that Lillard was fine with the situation and is free from a situation in Milwaukee that was never ideal for him. However, some folks like three-time champion and Bulls color commentator Stacey King weren’t pleased with how Milwaukee handled everything.

“And now he’s rehabbing, has surgery,” King said on his Gimme the Hot Sauce podcast. “He’s thinking about next year. When can I come back? He’s got his mind set. He’s working to come back. All of a sudden, he gets a text or reads it on Shams he’s been cut, let go, and everybody in the league is like shocked.”

King’s words were echoed by many around the league, but if the situation ends up working out for both sides, it could soon be viewed as the right decision.
