Rajon Rondo gets coaching update for Bucks after role last season image

During last season, there were a few Rajon Rondo appearances for the Milwaukee Bucks. Many were surprised to see Rondo on the sidelines for the Bucks in a small coaching role, but that was the case.

Rondo has a great relationship with head coach Doc Rivers, making it intriguing to consider him as a future coach on the Bucks' real staff.

When asked if Rivers could be fired, the Milwaukee Journal recently examined that question and more. However, according to the Milwaukee Journal, it isn't likely that Rivers will be fired now. Despite that, they added that it wouldn't be surprising to see Rondo with a job on the Bucks staff next year.

“The one name to keep an eye on is Rajon Rondo. The former player was around the Bucks quite a bit in a consultant-type role and Rivers made it clear he’d like to hire the former point guard full time. It would not be surprising if Rondo is formally hired,” they wrote.

Rondo understands what it takes to play at the highest level and win.

When he was a member of those Boston Celtics teams, there was a strong argument to be made that they were arguably the best team in the league.

Rondo has shown modern guards what they need to do to win games.

While his playstyle isn't as typical as it once was because of the scoring need for point guards, he'd be a nice fit for some of the young guards the Bucks have if they decide to go that route.
