Bucks trade proposal lands $100 million, 19.3 ppg guard in Milwaukee image

No team has had a more interesting offseason than the Milwaukee Bucks, and there could soon be another layer added.

Over the past few weeks, the Bucks have established themselves as a team looking to contend in the Eastern Conference. With all signs pointing to Giannis Antetokounmpo sticking around, Milwaukee has made some moves, including the signing of Myles Turner.

As the Bucks continue to gear up for next season, they might have a perfect trade partner to make everything come together. To sign Turner, the Bucks had to waive and stretch Damian Lillard to make room.

Lillard has since found his next destination in Portland, but the Bucks still have a hole in the backcourt. While guys like Cole Anthony might be able to carry the scoring load, the Bucks could still use a more surefire backcourt threat.

As suggested by Celtics Blog’s Jason Issenberg, Anfernee Simons could be that guy. In Issenberg’s trade proposal, the Bucks would add Simons while sending out Kyle Kuzma and a second-round pick.

Although there isn’t a ton of value going back to the Celtics, the deal does save Boston a bit more money. Meanwhile, the upgrade for Milwaukee could be well worth the risk.

Simons gives the Bucks a proven scorer who can create for himself and others. Pairing him with Antetokounmpo could yield some fun results in Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, Kuzma gives the Celtics a bit more size in Jayson Tatum’s absence and allows the Bucks to quickly move on from an experiment that failed miserably last season.
