With limited assets and other factors to consider for the Los Angeles Lakers, there could be a scenario where they get creative with their roster next season.
If the idea is to pair LeBron James and Luka Doncic with the best talent they can, the Lakers will have to hope they can make a blockbuster trade or find somebody in free agency. However, given the unlikelihood of that happening, there will have to be some improvements from within.
Some even believe that it could be from Bronny James, LeBron's son, who has been in the spotlight as some have questioned whether he's an NBA player.
“I think he could be a rotation player by mid-season of next year if he continues this trajectory,” Dave McMenamin said on the “Hear District Podcast.”
Playing James would be a tough outcome from the Lakers' perspective, but he had decent flashes during his time in the G League and his limited action at the NBA level.

However, even if he's ready to play, being as young as he is, the Lakers will likely have some growing pains on that front. If they want to be the team they're looking to be, they can't expect him to come in and average 10-plus points a game. That's unrealistic, and the Lakers understand that.
However, if James can develop into a decent player at the NBA level, even as much as being an average role player, it could help the Lakers' depth.
For a team that could use all the help it can get during the offseason, hopefully, James is in the lab getting to work.
