The Golden State Warriors eliminated the Houston Rockets in the first round of this year's NBA playoffs.
Most fans and players would consider this a disappointment after Alperen Şengün and the rest of the team secured the second seed with a 52-30 record.
After the Rockets have properly rebuilt their team and entered win-now mode, they have the pieces to shake things up this summer. According to Bleacher Report's Greg Swartz, three of their dream targets in the trade market are some of the biggest names in all of the NBA.
The names listed are Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Devin Booker, all of whom averaged at least 25 ppg, 4 rpg, and 4 apg last season.
Giannis has been the most mentioned name in all of trade talks thus far, and Houston will likely have the best bid for the Milwaukee Bucks. They can offer young pieces, draft capital, and already established players to a stuck-in-the-middle Milwaukee team.

Booker and Durant are interesting because Houston owns the Phoenix Suns' first-round picks in both 2025 and 2027. This would likely mean returning their picks as part of a deal for either of the stars.
Of all the teams in the league, Houston seems to be the most ready to make a move, and any of these guys would be a fantastic option. Booker could instantly become the playmaker Şengün needs to hit that next level, while Giannis and Durant draw so much attention that it leaves room for younger guys to develop.
Any trade for a player of this caliber will likely cost Jalen Green and a mixture of other players and picks. Both Phoenix and Milwaukee are at a standstill, and might bite the bait of a trade for one of their stars, don't be surprised if Houston is the team to cash in.
