As of July 11th, the Golden State Warriors are the only team that has not made a single signing or acquisition this free agency.
Their team has stayed exactly the same, something they have become accustomed to over the past decade or so.
Youtuber SROS proposed a hypothetical trade that could be the Warriors' first move of the offseason, and it actually makes sense for both teams involved.
Trading away Jonathan Kuminga and two first-round picks for Coby White and Jalen Smith.
This trade would only be possible if the Dubs were to take action on Kuminga’s contract, and re-sign him on a four-year deal worth a total of $102.3 million with the intention of then dealing him away.
Last year, White averaged over 20 points per game for the first time in his career, and Smith was the former tenth overall pick in the 2020 draft -- though he has struggled to find his footing in the league, he could flourish in Steve Kerr's system.

Kuminga has shown flashes of potential, averaging around 16 ppg this season, but couldn’t find a consistent place in the Warriors' rotation due to their depth.
A team like the Chicago Bulls would likely be willing to take a flyer on the 22-year-old as they are looking to develop their young talent as they continue their rebuild.
White could be an instant plug-and-play guard with Stephen Curry, and the best part is that they are both elite at playing both on and off the ball.
Meanwhile, Smith solves the big man issue that they have dealt with for so long. While he isn’t the best option to have as your starter, there won’t be many other choices -- especially as the summer goes on and more names come off the board.
A deal centered around these two players may not get the attention like some other trades this offseason, but could change both teams' performances drastically.
