The Dallas Mavericks have largely filled out their roster in free agency, gearing up for redemption after missing the postseason in 2024-25.

However, one two-way spot remains open. With Ryan Nembhard and Miles Kelly — a point guard and a swingman, respectively — already occupying the other two spots, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Mavericks target a post player.

Noah Weber of The Smoking Cuban speculates that the Mavericks could sign either Jamarion Sharp or Moussa Cisse, both young 7-footers who joined Dallas for Summer League play.

“Sharp and Cisse bring different games to the table for Dallas, and either one of them could end up being the final two-way player, joining Nembhard and Kelly,” Weber wrote

Sharp, the older of the two at 23, spent the 2024-25 campaign with the club’s G League affiliate, the Texas Legends. Over 42 appearances with the Legends, the 7-foot-5 center averaged 5.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.2 blocks while shooting 60.5 percent from the field in 20.9 minutes per game. He also appeared in all five of the team’s Summer League games in 2025, showcasing his shot-blocking ability while averaging 2.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks across 16.1 minutes per game, shooting 71.4 percent from the field.

Cisse spent his final collegiate season at Memphis in 2024-25, averaging 5.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks across 18.2 minutes per game. He also appeared in all five of Dallas’ Summer League games, where he averaged 5.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks across 13.8 minutes per game. Cisse has already signed a non-guaranteed training camp contract with Dallas, giving him a slight edge over Sharp for now.

While neither should be expected to make a significant impact in a crowded Dallas frontcourt, the development of whichever player earns the two-way spot could be worth monitoring — even if most of their time is spent in the G League.
