The rumors were still swirling about the Dallas Mavericks getting rid of head coach Jason Kidd.
After picking Cooper Flagg No. 1 overall on Wednesday night, team president Nico Harrison cleared things up when speaking with reporters.
“Is that still out there about J. Kidd? I thought I shut that down,” he said, per Dallas Morning News writer Brad Townsend. “He will be the coach next year."
Kidd hasn't received a contract extension, but Dallas also refused to let him interview for the Knicks vacancy, so it seemed like he might be safe.
