The basketball world was hit with an expected, yet still shocking headline Sunday afternoon, as the Phoenix Suns traded former NBA MVP Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, and five second-round picks in this year's NBA draft.

Durant, a 15-time NBA All-Star and one of the NBA's greatest scorers of all-time, will bring a hefty amount of scoring that they could never seem to run with in their most recent playoff run, as "KD" hasn't averaged below 25 points in his career since his debut season in 2007.

In his career against Dallas, "The Durantula" has averaged 25.4 points and 7.1 rebounds, and with how productive Durant continues to be even at age 36, that doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

In his last game against Dallas, which came on March 9 of this year, he nearly came away with a triple-double, putting together 21 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in 38 minutes of play.

And now Dallas gets to play against the former Texas Longhorn four times a year, and with how dynamic Jalen Green was against the Mavericks during his time in Houston, the Mavericks can imagine that difficulty getting turned to expert mode now that Durant will be in H-Town.

Durant will be reunited with Steven Adams, whom he teamed with for four seasons back when they were both with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

This is Durant's fifth team in his professional career, also spending time with the Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, and the Phoenix Suns.
