The Boston Celtics saw the benefits of having Malcolm Brogdon on their roster during the 2022-23 season. Unfortunately, Brogdon dealt with some injuries once again and wasn't exactly great in the postseason, shooting just 41.8% from the field and averaging 11.9 points.

For the most part, he was a very serviceable player for them, winning the Sixth Man of the Year award.

Brogdon was eventually moved to the Portland Trail Blazers and last appeared in a game for the Washington Wizards last season. As the veteran guard continues to look for a new home, Jake Fischer said on a recent Bleacher Report stream that he has some interest from the Sacramento Kings.

Brogdon has to decide on where he wants to play sometime soon. With spots running out, the Kings might be the best option.

“We are still anticipating the Kings to be bringing in another veteran guard, and Ben Simmons is on that list of potential targets, in addition to Russell Westbrook, to Malcolm Brogdon, and I think he’d make an interesting addition there,” Fischer said. “I personally think Ben Simmons would be interesting in Minnesota, but I haven’t heard that they have interest in him.”

Going from the Celtics to the Trail Blazers to the Wizards to the Kings would be an unfortunate situation for Brogdon, but it's not like many contenders around the league have a significant need for him.

From the Celtics' perspective, while he did what they needed him to do, there wouldn't be any reason in a reunion unless they could get him for a cheap price and try to flip him at the deadline for something.
