The NBA offseason could be considered the most hectic time of the year.
For the Boston Celtics, they were tasked with a tough assignment with the most expensive roster in the history of the game, but with star player Jayson Tatum suffering a season-ending injury.
General Manager of the Celtics, Brad Stevens, is not shy in the market, and wasted no time making moves as the offseason started.
He geared up for a press conference to answer many questions that fans and media may have for the future of the team and made some bold statements.
Regarding longtime Celtic Al Horford, Stevens said that Horford is unlikely to return because they will not be able to retain him.
Horford has drawn interest from many teams across the free agency market and provides value as an experienced player who can stretch the floor as a high-energy player.

When asked about Tatum and his injury, and whether or not they have a timeline for his return, he was very clear with the organization's intentions.
“We're not even talking about a timeline for return,” Stevens said Tuesday.
He also mentioned Tatum is nonstop working on his recovery, and even on the days he is not in the facility, he will still be attempting to make progress.
And of course, the trades they made this offseason were nothing short of shocking. The acquisition of Anfernee Simons and Georges Niang will force the Celtics into a new look.
“The second apron is why those trades happened,” Stevens said when asked about the moves.
“The most important acquisition that we’re going to be able to make in the next couple of years is getting Tatum out of a boot” Stevens added.
Known across the league as one of the better GMs, Stevens seems to have a direction with the team he is building. After all, he kicked off free agency with basically the first move, trading away Jrue Holiday.
