The Washington Nationals will have to wait a bit extra for the chance to bounce back from a humbling 10-6 defeat by the Colorado Rockies.
A night after that, the Nats announced that Wednesday's 6:45 p.m. ET start would be delayed due to inclement weather in the area.

The scheduled pitching matchup features German Marquez for the Rockies (16-57) against Mitchell Parker for the Nationals (30-43).
Marquez is a former star who has had a miserable season, with a 2-8 record and a 6.62 ERA.
The lefty Parker is 4-7 with a 4.84 ERA.

It's a tricky spot for this rain delay. If it leads to a postponement, the schedule gets cramped.
These teams are scheduled to play a getaway day game at 1:05 p.m. Thursday. If that was made into a doubleheader, it delays both team's travel away from D.C.
The Nats play at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Friday night, so they'd surely like to get into the skies sooner rather than later on Thursday.
