Bo Bichette has finally found his groove again.
After a terrible 2024, the Blue Jays shortstop is back up to hitting .289 again in 2025.
It could lead to a big payday in the offseason for Toronto's impending free agent.
“He’ll need to pick it up some and get back to his 2021-23 form if he wants to get paid at that value, which is probably close to the six-year, $171 million offer that Bregman received from the Tigers last offseason," The Athletic's Jim Bowden wrote.

In addition to Bichette's strong average, he has four home runs and 25 RBI so far this season.
The Blue Jays signed Vladimir Guerrero Jr. long term, but their decision on Bichette doesn't appear to be forthcoming.
The 27-year old was one of the best pure hitters in baseball from 2021-2023, batting .290 or better each year, slugging at least 20 homers each year, and twice leading the American League in hits.
In 2024, he regressed to .225 in 81 games.

Bichette is starting to hit line drives all over the field again. He also plays a premium position, which will help him earn a bigger contract.
Will Toronto pay him, or will somebody else? And for how much?
The baseball world awaits the answers to those questions.
